Georgia ranks near the bottom nationally in overall health outcomes, here are some stats:
Georgia ranks second-highest percentage of residents who lack health insurance coverage (11.7%).
Georgia ranks second-highest percentage of residents who chose not to see a doctor due to cost (15.2%).
Georgia ranks eighth-highest average deductible for employees with single coverage through employer-provided health insurance ($2,269 annually).
Georgia ranks eleventh-lowest number of community health centers per 100,000 residents (0.32).
Georgia also ranks 43rd in infant mortality, 48th in access to mental health providers, and is nationally ranked as the worst state for mental health overall .
If this isn't enough to make our current leaders change the system, then it is time to change our leadership.
As your Representative I will prioritize expanding access to affordable coverage, medicaid expansion, strengthening the healthcare workforce, and addressing disparities to ensure every Georgian has a fair opportunity to live a healthy life.
